After my dear, dear bike was stolen from Mui Wo-together with the thick lock that it was locked with, I would ask people to think twice before investing in an expensive bike. Unless of course it is kept inside when not used.
I will be buying cheap horrible bikes from now on.
My bike is probably in Peng Chau, or Cheng Chau now, according to the police-$2600 down the drain!

Yes, I do suggest keeping all belongings inside while living on Lantau. I ve lived here for a few years now, I've had my fair share of things being stolen from here...:(

Please make sure your bikes are identifiable and traceable. I have heard of stolen bikes being returned from Cheung Chau to Lantau. Not often but it does happen!
