Dear Friends and Supporters of LBA,
LBA will be holding the third Lantau Bovine Population Survey starting at 9.00 am on Sunday, 30th May in Pui O.
Survey Operation Headquarter: No 72, Sun Wai Tsuen, the old style green & white house with a walled garden, behind the Pui O taxi stand & Police Reporting ‘box’.
Participant calling time: 9:00am
Morning survey session for Buffalo survey: 9:30 > 12:00
Afternoon survey session for Cow survey : 13:30 > 17:00
HQ operater: John (English speaking), Ho Loy (Chinese & English speaking)

5. Pui O - Football court > Ham Tin
6. Cheung Sha Lower > Cheung Sha Upper (beaches & roads)
7. Catchwater Road from Shek Pik > Tong Fuk
8. South Lantau Road from Shui Hau > Tong Fuk
9. Coastal walk from Shek Pik > Lo Kei Wan
10. Shui Hau Wan > Lo Kei Wan
11. Shek Pek Reservoir > Prison
12. Tong Fok > Shui Hau

Once again, we would be most grateful for the participation of as many friends of LBA as possible.
This is perhaps the most important of the surveys so far as it should give us a clear picture of the changes in the animals' population in the years since the large culls controversially undertaken by AFCD in 2007.
Based on this information, we will be formulating and implementing an herd management programme, likely with the assistance of SPCA.
